Studio pricing
Electricity:
Due to the ongoing energy crisis, we have no choice but to charge for the electricity used during studio hires. Each studio has its own electricity meter. We will take a reading when you arrive and when you finish your shoot. This will be charged at the current rate we are being charged by our supplier. ( variable ) Studio hires are charged in advance as normal, electricity will be charged at the end of the hire via card or cash. For more info please see the Ts&Cs at the bottom of this page.

*The assistant is there to support you throughout your shoot. They will not only assist with setup but are also there to support with lighting and equipment as well as fetching teas and coffees 🙂

Studio B is a natural light space and while you may not want to use studio lighting you can. Colour paper backdrops are included.
Studio B has its own toilet and kitchen.

T&Cs
Cancellation Policy:
Full payment is due upon booking. If, for any reason you need to cancel your booking please let us know ASAP. If canceled with plenty of notice, we’re happy to help you reschedule your booking (A rescheduled booking must be within 4 weeks of the original booking date) or if that doesn’t work a full refund is available (minus any transaction fees) If a booking is canceled within 72 hours a 50% refund will be processed (minus any transaction fees). If canceling within 48 hours or less, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Covid Cancellation Policy:
For an extra fee of £10 (payable during your booking), we’ll extend the ability to reschedule your booking into the 72-hour cancellation window. This is limited to a one-time use and no more than 4 weeks after the initial hire date. If the studio has to close due to a positive covid case we’ll be in touch as soon as possible to offer you the next available date. All changes of dates are subject to availability. Proof of a positive COVID test will be required. Should Government advice change at any time, we have the right to review this offer. Applies to all bookings from 01 January 2022.

Studio A will have an average removed to cover the usage of the office. Heating will use a sizeable amount of power. A single 2kw blow heater uses 2 units per hour. Limited Liability:
Terms of Use: Use of the studio and equipment is AT THE HIRER’S OWN RISK. The Hirer hereby waives rights to seek legal redress for mishaps, accidents, and/or loss related to their actions whilst on the premises. Hirer agrees to leave the studio and adjacent grounds in the same condition as they were when the hirer arrived. Hirers are solely responsible for any legal infractions Hirer or members of Hirer’s party make during the conduct of the shoot, either in the studio or adjacent grounds. Hirer agrees to be solely responsible for the conduct and welfare of all persons accompanying the hirer while on the premises. Hirers are solely responsible for the safety and well-being of any models the hirer engages. Hirer understands that if dangerous or negligent practices or activities are observed, we reserve the right to stop the shoot and require the hirer and accompanying parties to leave immediately — HOWEVER, Studio88 assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY to act in such cases. Hirers are solely responsible for verifying that all models employed during the rental period are of appropriate legal age for the activities they are to be engaged in during the shoot. Studio88 has no responsibility to determine or verify the age of participants in the hirer’s activities but reserves the right to end those activities if it becomes aware that legal age violations are ongoing. Hirer agrees that a representative of Studio88 will be present in the studio premises during all hires.
Equipment:
Studio88 agrees to provide equipment in good working order but makes no special guarantees as to said equipment’s functionality or suitability to the hirer’s purposes. Studio88 is not liable for acts out of its control that affect the shoot, such as power outages, weather or emergencies. In such cases, Studio88 may refund or credit a pro-rated portion of the hirer’s payment.
Health and Safety:
Studio88 will not be held responsible for any accident or injury caused by the hirer or any member of their party whilst using the studio facilities.
Breakage and Damage:
The Hirer accepts responsibility for damages and breakages caused to studio equipment and premises (excluding wear and tear). Payment for any damage or breakages will be charged at market value and must be settled at the end of the hire period.
Insurance:
Whilst the studio is fully insured it is encouraged for all hirers to have their own insurance.
Loss of personal and client effects:
The studio is not responsible for your personal effects or your client’s product. While we’ll let you know if we find something has been left behind it is your responsibility to make sure you have everything you brought into the studio when you leave. The studio is not liable for any loss. If we let you know you left something behind you have 2 weeks to collect it. Otherwise, we’ll dispose of it.
